A Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Your Stripe Account

Hi, I'm Corinna, CocoRio's Founder and CEO! We’re thrilled to have you as part of the team. Setting up your Stripe account is an essential step to ensure smooth payment processing. Don’t worry—I’ve outlined everything you need to do below, guiding you through the process step by step. Let’s get started!

1. Log in to Your Dashboard

Start by logging in to your CocoRio dashboard using your registered email and password.

2. Access the ‘My Jobs’ Section

Once logged in:

• Click on My Jobs located in the top menu bar.

• Next, click on Connect with Stripe in the upper left corner.

Note: If a new window doesn’t appear, check your browser settings to ensure pop-ups aren’t blocked.

3. Register for a Stripe Account

You’ll be redirected to Stripe. Follow these steps:

• Enter your email address and create a password to register your Stripe account.

• After registering, you’ll be taken to the Two-Step Authentication page.

4. Set Up Two-Step Authentication

• Download the Google Authenticator app from the Play Store or App Store if you haven't already.

• Scan the QR code displayed on the Stripe page using the Google Authenticator app.

• Enter the code generated by the app into the Stripe window.

• Copy the backup security code provided for future reference, then click Next.

5. Enter Your Business Information

Next, you’ll begin setting up your Stripe account by entering your business details:

• Business Location: Enter your country of residence.

• Type of Business: Select Individual/Sole Trader.

6. Provide Your Personal Details

Fill in the following information:

• Full Name

• Email Address

• Date of Birth

• Home Address

• Phone Number

Click Next to continue.

7. Enter Your Business Details

• Industry: Choose Other Personal Service.

• VAT Number: You can skip this if it doesn’t apply.

• Website: You can enter CocoRio’s homepage or your personal website.

• Product Description: This field can be left blank or write something simple like “I am a creative nanny.”

Click Next to proceed.

8. Add Your Bank Account Details

Enter your bank details:

• Sort Code

• Account Number

Once completed, click Continue.

9. Confirm Your Setup

After submitting all the required information, your Stripe account setup will be marked as complete.

10. Verify Your Connection

Return to your CocoRio dashboard and navigate to My Jobs. You should see a confirmation message in the upper right corner stating: Your Stripe is Connected.
