Lachlan Okoye

Lachlan is a kind, friendly and approachable person with an affinity for working with children of all age groups. He has grown up with brothers who are 11 years younger, and as a result, he has had to learn how to effectively nurture their development from a young age. He has graduated from a Law Degree and has just finished working for over a year running an after-school club at a Primary School. As a result, he is extremely confident in running fun and creative activities for young children, ensuring their health and safety whilst harbouring their talents in a warm atmosphere. He forges strong relationships with parents, colleagues and children, and has always been fantastic at interacting with them.

Lachlan is experienced working with all age groups including primary school children, pre-teens, teenagers and is highly energetic. He loves engaging in outdoor activities as well as games. He is a footballer, rugby, cricket and squash player at a county level, and has coached and mentored many young athletes at different sports and loves creating fun sport-related activities. He spends most of his time outside and loves healthy living. This background has only increased the value he places on harmony and inclusion which he encourages in all the children he works with

Lachlan is also a musician and songwriter who has gone as far as writing an album. Along with singing he not only plays but also has experience teaching the ukulele.

Lachlan’s native language is English, but he can also teach primary and secondary school children Spanish as he speaks it to a conversational level, having specialised in Spanish in his A Levels. He is constantly challenging himself to strengthen his Spanish by reading books in the language. Beyond tutoring English and Spanish he has also tutored Maths and the Humanities.
