Amy is a warm, fun and creative individual with a passion for Art. She is currently studying for a degree in Psychology for Education and has a particular interest in child development. She enjoys creating activities to suit children's needs and interests to progress their development, social skills, emotional regulation and encouraging their imaginations to flourish. After her degree she plans to combine her interest in Psychology and Art to complete a masters in Art Therapy.

For the past two years Amy has worked in a specialist SEN secondary school as a Teaching Assistant which she thoroughly enjoyed. This position has given her amazing experiences working with many students all with individual and unique needs, and allowed her to gain many qualifications in the field of SEND. Not only given her the opportunity to work alongside specialist teachers and professionals but has also given her first-hand experience with the most up to date practices used in these specialist schools. Therefore she is confident in implementing strategies to support a child's behavioural, emotional and social needs.

She loves to spend her spare time being outdoors doing hiking, camping and wild swimming, she also loves painting and dancing! She feels that these activities do wonders for a person's mental wellbeing and sensory exploration. One of her favorite activities is water sports particularly kayaking and paddleboarding which led her to volunteer one summer at a local outdoor activities centre as a young leader to support, instruct and supervise children doing water sports.
