Musical hide and seek
We all know how to play hide and seek, but how about musical hide and seek?
What you’ll need:
A portable speaker
A great playlist
This activity is very simple but a lot of fun! Hide the speaker and get the child(ren) to listen for the direction in which the music comes from in order to find the hidden speaker.
For babies, place the speaker somewhere they can see it. After a few rounds and they’ve grasped the concept, start hiding the speaker under a pillow/shelf/table, but ensure they see you put it there. Continue making your hiding places progressively more difficult until they can rely solely on their hearing.
For toddlers and older children might be able to go straight to hiding the speaker. You can also vary the volume of the music to make it harder!
