Freya Watson

Freya is an actor and dancer from Nottingham, who recently graduated from ArtsEd and is now working as a creative nanny, a tutor, an acting teacher, a babysitter and in children's events. 

Freya has been a full-time tutor for the last 6 months, and for a year prior she worked as a teaching assistant for various schools in London, predominantly with children with special needs. Throughout this time Freya's main responsibility was engaging children in learning in a fun, innovative way and teaching them skills that will be invaluable in their later life. Freya has regularly babysat for all ages of children from 1 month to 11 years from 16, which means she is accustomed to all ages, and making children feel comfortable with someone new coming into their space whilst engaging them and maintaining their routine.

Freya loves working with children because their view of the world is so unique, and she always learns  something from the children she works with. Their resilience is astonishing, and getting to be a part of their exploration of their surroundings whilst getting to guide them and encourage their curiosity always feels like a privilege. 

Freya loves encouraging children's imagination through play, enabling them to explore the world around them in a safe space.

Aside from dance, movement and acting, Freya loves exploring music and rhythm with children, as well as baking, arts and crafts and outdoor play - anything that encourages a child's natural curiosity and helps them develop the skills they will need later in life to become the best person they can be.
