Laila Gaber
Laila is a passionate visual artist and workshop facilitator who has a wealth of experience working with children 3+ years old including young adults.
Laila has been working with vulnerable children affected by trauma in refugee camps in Palestine, organising painting workshops and working with recycling materials in order to create a less hostile and safer atmosphere for children to play with.
Laila speaks three different languages: Italian, English and Spanish so she can use these languages during her sessions. Laila is experienced in teaching the Italian language through a creative approach, using elements of music, storytelling and creative writing.
Laila holds a Master Degree in Culture, Criticism and Curation at Central Saint Martins in London. Her dissertation, “A Manifesto of Playfulness”, studied the importance of participatory art practices within young people in order to improve the lifestyle in South London local communities.
