Georgia Sweetbaum

Having grown up with ADHD and dyslexia, Georgia is passionate about enabling children to engage enthusiastically with learning by using creative methods.

Georgia has extensive training and experience within the care sector having worked with children and young adults with complex care needs and most recently as a mental health support worker.

She currently spends her time studying for a degree in Children's Psychology and writing freelance articles on a variety of subjects.

Georgia’s interest in working with children stems from being the oldest of 17 cousins, 10 of whom are under 10yrs old as well as having a 2yr old sister.

During her tailored sessions, Georgia adapts her approach to accommodate the temperament, needs, and interests of the child. Whether it be through imaginative play, face painting, arts and crafts, creative writing/ storytelling, or even just chatting, Georgia aims to create a space where children feel comfortable expressing themselves fully. By using play to facilitate self-expression, children feel encouraged to engage with the world around them with confidence and curiosity.
If homework help/ learning support is needed, Georgia will find elaborate and delightful ways to provide it. This could look like anything from building a model of human anatomy out of recyclable materials to using costumes and props to learn about historic events, finding creative but effective ways of staying organised, or for younger kids, learning how to write letters and numbers using finger paints.

Georgia is also able to work well with groups of children. For special occasions, she can provide themed sessions as well as props and all the necessary supplies to ensure that your child will have an experience they will cherish.
