Oleta Semple

My name is Oleta and I have experience working with teenagers as a chaperone, and as a nanny. I have also run a few creative workshops with children and worked with children of all ages in a local church Sunday school for many years.

I am the most creative person of all my friends and family. From sewing to songwriting to abstract art and craft, my skill set will keep the kids thoroughly entertained. I love helping children to express their creativity and to learn through experimentation. 

I also LOVE good, healthy food which is reflective in my diet and my overall health and the range of meals I cook for myself and my family on a regular basis. I would show the children how I cook and what it means to enjoy eating well. I’ll encourage them to follow new recipes as well as to improvise. I would (with permission) have the children follow me to the shops to purchase their own food, helping them to remain involved and excited from start to finish.

I am a naturally very relaxed person who understands the effect energy has on those we surround ourselves with. I am very intuitive and can pick up on the emotions of others very well. I am confident enough to have an array of discussions with The children and to entertain Thought provoking conversation where they arise. I was always very inquisitive and appreciated the adults around me who were open, honest, loving and kind enough to allow me to be myself. I replicate this in all the relationships I have and would love to enrich and share this quality with the kids at Coco Rio.

I speak intermediate Spanish and I love working with kids because I love sharing my knowledge, expertise and positive energy. Authenticity and fearlessness are two qualities I possess & value highly and love encouraging them to, explore their personalities, develop  confidence and to chase their dreams. Children are a ray of sunshine and love being there to inspire them.
