Getting set up for work

We can’t cover the cost, unfortunately. The good news, though, is once you’ve completed the enhanced DBS check, it is yours to keep! You can use it for any other jobs you take on in the future, making it a valuable and useful certificate to have.

Once you receive your DBS results, it will be up to you to sign up for the Update Service if you'd like to keep your DBS certificate up to date. We don’t do this for you, but it’s really easy to set up yourself! The Update Service costs £16 per year, and it’s a great way to ensure your DBS stays current for any future roles.

We take care of finding families for our creatives. Once you're registered with us, we’ll match you with suitable families based on their needs and your experience. We'll handle the process of connecting you with families, making sure it’s the right fit for both sides!
About payment

You will be paid automatically via Stripe for any sessions that take place through the self-service platform. Any jobs that show in ‘My Jobs’ on your profile will be paid via Stripe. Stripe payments will be made within 7 days of the completed session
Follow the instructions at the top of the ‘My Jobs’ page to set up your stripe account.
Make sure you clock in and out of your jobs to ensure you get paid correctly and quickly.
For sessions booked via the old method, you will be paid on the last Friday of each month as long as you send your invoice by midday on the last Wednesday of the month. Sen invoices to finance@cocorio.co.uk.

Stripe payments will be made within 7 days of the completed session.
Invoice payments will be made the last Friday of each month (two days after the Wednesday submission deadline).

As you are self employed all payments are gross amounts. You will be responsible for paying your own taxes.

No, our payment structure does not vary based on qualification level. We ensure that all of our nannies are highly experienced and meet our standards of professionalism and care. As a premium service, we prioritize quality, expertise, and reliability, ensuring that every nanny we provide is thoroughly vetted and exceptionally skilled, regardless of their specific childcare qualifications.
Finding work

See our job board for current open jobs. You can access this through your profile. A member of the CocoRio Team will also get in touch when we have a job that suits your expertise
Ad hoc jobs will also be added to the Ad hoc Jobs WhatsApp group. You will receive the link as part of your Welcome Pack once you are onboarded. Send us a message to let us know if this has been lost or expired.

You can ask a specific team member at CocoRio to put you as a reference after ensuring that the employer is happy with us being your ‘agents’ not ‘employers’, as you are self employed.
We do not see you in action so we can only give a reference to creative nannies who have received extensively positive feedback from two or more ad hoc clients or one recurring client.
