How to use our booking platform as a creative nanny and mentor
Exciting news! Thanks to our new booking system, it’s now easier than ever for families to book in their creative childcare, which means our wonderful creatives can now receive and be booked for jobs quickly and efficiently too.
We’re transitioning from an old manual booking system to a new, easy online platform, so we’ll be updating this page regularly to reflect the process.
From today, any new jobs confirmed through the new system will also mean you’ll get paid through the new platform, instead of the old invoicing method.
To view any new system bookings, you can Log In and view your jobs under Available Jobs.
To apply for jobs on the new system, click I’m Interested to any briefs that suit you and you’ll receive an email if the client assigns you.
Please ensure you have correctly set up your details in the payment feature.
For any jobs confirmed by speaking directly to our team (direct WhatsApp, WhatsApp group, phone call, email exchange), please remember to send us an invoice to admin@cocorio.co.uk
We’ll be moving the payment structure onto the new platform in time.
For any ongoing recurring bookings, we will transition in one go when it is convenient for the family, so we’ll communicate the cut off date of the transition with you, which will dictate which jobs will be invoiced for and which jobs will move onto our new system.

You’ll have access to apply for :

★Recurring Bookings (if you have set up your availability as recurring)

Job Notifications
Jobs with subject line New Job Available are job postings that match your availability and skills.
If you know the client, you have priority over other candidates, so reply ASAP to accept or reject the shift. Otherwise, ignore the job if you’re not interested.
Please ensure you understand the requirements and service (as below) before accepting!
To accept a job:
1. Log into your CocoRio dashboard
If it is the first time logging in, your password will be the same as your email (username). If you have trouble logging in, use the Forgotten Password option.
2. Go to Available Jobs
3. To apply to or reject a job, click I’m interested, I’m partly available or I’m not interested
If the job has multiple dates attached, tick the checkbox of every Associated Shift you can make!
4. If you apply and the family confirms you, you will receive a Job Confirmation email
Communicating with families
You’ll be notified by email when a family starts chatting with you. Please reply promptly and politely!
You can then continue chatting on the platform or if it’s urgent and you have an emergency, you can contact them on their mobile if you have been confirmed for a job.
About the creative nanny jobs
Make sure you check what service the booking is for, as this will influence your preparation as well as the hourly rate.
★ Creative Childcare rates
Responsibilities: All nanny duties + delivering creative experiences
Creative Childcare (not shared with another family)
Hourly rate: £15ph
Creative Child Care (shared with 1 or 2 other families)
Hourly rate: £20ph
★ Event Entertainment rates
Structured Entertainment
Responsibilities: Entertaining a group of children usually for birthday parties and children’s events. This requires preparation and liaising with the family. Please ensure you share a plan with the client and know who is sourcing which materials, music and props.
Hourly rate: £60
Unstructured Entertainment
Responsibilities: Less structured entertainment. This may come in the form of a kids corner, with kids coming and going or less structured creative play with a group of children. Please ensure you share a plan with the client and know who is sourcing which materials, music and props.
Hourly rate: £30
★ A combination of Entertainment services
Responsibilities: Combining the services above. You may have to deliver a 1h structured entertainment session and then 2h of unstructured, for example.
Hourly rate: as above depending on number of hours booked for each service
Please note that we have a technical issue at the moment so your Dashboard Booking doesn’t show the exact number of hours for each service. If you are booked for a mix of Structured and unstructured entertainment, we will let you know the details ASAP.
CocoRio creative nanny checklist
1. Contact the family:
If this is the first time working with a family, liaise with them to ensure you understand their requirements. This can be via our chat function if they start chatting to you or by contacting them on the mobile in your email confirmation
2. Prepare for the session and study your route

Immediately after your job:
1. Log into your CocoRio dashboard
2. Go to My Jobs and complete a Job Report
3. Clock In and Clock Out to confirm working hours
If you forget to do that, we will do it for you according to the originally booked hours the following day, so if the hours have changed, you must Clock In and Clock Out at the end of your shift and report the changed schedule.
4. You will get paid through your Stripe connected account within a week

Some cancelled test jobs are still being sent as email and SMS notifications to certain creatives - apologies! This is being looked into by the technical team and will soon be troubleshooted.
Any jobs with a mix of structured and unstructured entertainment are not showing the hourly rate in the job page. Please refer to the explanation above. We are working on getting this fixed.
